The Northern range of the American Black Cherry – particular the forests of Northwestern Pennsylvania have long held the most beautiful trees for cabinet making. The deeper color and subtle grain of Northern American Black Cherry makes it the best choice for wide plank flooring, as well.

From the Clear Grade, turning a deep warm reddish brown, with no knots or sapwood to the Natural Grade, with wide color variations and character markings, American Black Cherry has an option for any design.

CountryPlank.com offers cherry flooring in a variety of grades and styles. We can also apply custom surface treatments to your cherry floor including a variety of distressed looks or hand scraping on the edges and ends.

CLEAR GRADE (NOFMA)::

Available in solid planks only, unfinished and square edged, this plain sawn grade of American Black Cherry is simply the best available. It is clear of knots and has no sapwood, giving it the most consistent color and grain for the finest of all projects. Like all Cherry, it will deepen in color dramatically as it ages.

SELECT & BETTER GRADE (NOFMA):

Available in solid planks or engineered planks by special order, unfinished square edge or factory pre-finished with a micro-beveled edge. This plain sawn grade of American Black Cherry flooring is virtually free of knots, with varying grain patterns and provides a fairly light initial look with a slight pinkish hue, becoming deeper with exposure to light.

NATURAL GRADE (NOFMA #1 & #2 Common):

Available in solid planks or engineered planks by special order, unfinished square edge or factory pre-finished with a micro-beveled edge. This plain sawn grade of American Black Cherry flooring has all the naturally occurring wood characteristics such as knots, distinctive color and grain variations and makes a dramatic addition to any decorating look. And, the deepening of the heartwood color over time will accentuate the color variation.
